JUDGMENT : R.C. Lahoti, J. - Crl M.P No. 10754 of 2003. (Application for Directions filed by the learned Amicus) 1. The learned counsel for the State of U.P. States that so far as relief (a) is concerned, the requisite sanction has been given on 10th December, 2003. 2. We make it clear that the Srivastava Committee is functioning and not dissolved by this Court. The State of U.P. should not make any default in the payment of salary and expenses of the Committee. 3. Having perused prayer (e) made in the application and also having perused the communication dated 4th July, 2003 by the Secretary, U.P. Human Rights Commission, it is directed that the State Human Rights commission is free to constitute a Sub-Committee and carry out the surprise checks in accordance with the directions made in D.K. Basu's case. 4. Pursuant to the order dated 9th October, 2001 of this Court, quaterly reports shall be submitted. Crl M.P 2432 of 2003. Application for Directions on Behalf of the State of U.P. 5. Response to the application may be filed within four weeks. Crl. M.P. No. 3986 of 2003. Application for Directions and Impleadment for getting the matter investigation by CBI and for Compensation 6.
