Though a written counter is not filed but the learned counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh has offered some oral explanation as to the statements of facts contained in the report of the Chairman, Monitoring Committee, State of U.P. Let him file a written reply with necessary details and necessary documents. That shall be done on or before 20th February, 2003. Response to counter by the learned amicus may be filed on or before 3rd March, 2003 under copy to the State of Uttar Pradesh. List for hearing on 7.3.2003. 2. We have told the officials present in the Court that the Monitoring Committee headed by Mr. Justice A.B. Srivastava under the order of this Court shall continue to function and must be extended all the cooperation and assistance by the State Government and the officials so that the Committee discharges its functions absolutely unhindered and unobstructed. Any obstacle created in the functioning of the Committee shall be viewed seriously.
