JUDGMENT The writ petition was filed in Allahabad High Court. The matter is a transfer writ petition. It is the case of the petitioner that his lease has been wrongly cancelled by the Collector in Uttar Pradesh. After 9th November 2000, it is for the State of Uttaranchal to consider whether to grant the lease afresh to the petitioner or whether the petitioner should not be granted the lease. 2. In the circumstance, we are directing the petitioner to apply to the District Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal for a fresh lease. The application will be made within a period of four weeks from today. On receipt of the application, the District Magistrate will decide the petitioner's application in accordance with law. Till then the status quo as of today will be' maintained.
