Judgment 1. Heard counsel for the parties. 2. The writ petitioner seeks direction upon the respondents to approve and confirm grant of first time bound promotion with effect from 1.4.1981 and second time bound promotion with effect from 9.8.1988, respectively. 3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that during the pendency of this writ application, grant of provisional first time bound promotion to the petitioner has been confirmed on regular basis vide memo no. 1671 dated 4.11.2003 and so far grant of second time bound promotion is concerned, it is pending consideration. 4. From office order dated 8.1.2002, a copy of which has been produced before me for my perusal, it appears that grant of provisional first time bound promotion has been made absolute by the authorities and -his case for second time bound promotion is under consideration. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent authorities are directed to take a decision in regard to second time bound promotion to the petitioner notionally within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and in case second time bound promotion is granted to the petitioner notionally, consequential monetary benefits will be paid to him within a further period of six weeks thereof. 6. With the direction/observation aforesaid, this application is disposed of.
