ORDER : It is reported that the States of Kerala, Bihar, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Goa have complied with the Shetty Commission's report to the extent it relates to the recommendation of revised pay-scales. However, the States of Assam, Chhatisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura and West Bengal are reported to have not complied with the aforesaid recommendation. In that view of the matter, we direct that the Chief Secretaries and the Advocate Generals of the aforesaid States to appear before this Court on 9th May, 2003 at 10.30 a.m. 2. Learned Attorney General states that so far Union Territories are concerned, Union of India has substantially complied with the report. An affidavit to that effect may be filed on or before 9th May, 2003. 3. List these matters on 9th May, 2003 for further directions. I.A. No. 111 4. This interlocutory application is rejected. I.A.
