ORDER 1. A copy of the report of the National Human Rights Commission dated 27-3-2003 be made available to the States of Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Madhya h Pradesh as well as Gujarat, Uttaranchal and Kerala. The said States are directed to furnish regular status reports as requested by NHRC w.e.f.1-1-2002 onwards in the prescribed pro forma. Such status reports will be filed within a period of four weeks from date. The matter will come up four a weeks hence in order to ensure compliance. 2. It is stated by the learned amicus curiae that there has been a subsequent report by NHRC dated 25-4-2003. The same may be put on record. The Registry to make copies available to all the parties within the aforesaid period.
