Judgment 1. The petitioner applied for grant of licence of N.P. bore pistol/revolver on 12.11.2001. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner the erstwhile Dy. S. P. verified and enquired about him but she was transferred. The present Dy. S. P. is sitting tight over the matter. He is not forwarding his application in spite of request made by him. Learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that he had shown judgment of this Court available at page 20 of the petition but in spite of that Dy. S. P., respondent no. 6 is sitting tight over the matter. Learned counsel for the respondents, however, submitted that writ petition be disposed of with direction to respondent no. 6 to discharge his obligation. 2. In the circumstances, writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents/ respondent no. 6 to discharge his obligation within a period of fortnight from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. 3. Before parting with the case it is pertinent to mention herein that the citizens of the State are being harassed without any rhyme and reason. The authorities remain sitting tight over the matter and they do not discharge their obligation. Due to the aforesaid reason cases in the High Court increase. In furture if it is found that officials are not considering the grievance of the citizens the Court will consider to award cost and take other legal action against such officer.
