ORDER : M.B. Shah, J. - After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the following directions are issued: 1. The Secretary concerned of the Education Department, State of U.P. is directed to file necessary affidavit stating as to how many vacancies for the post of Principal, Government Inter College (Boys and Girls) and that of Senior Lecturer in district education and other institutes are existing as on 30-6-2003. 2. It is ordered that the candidates who had appeared in the years 1996, 1997 and 1999 would be considered for vacancies existing as on 30-6-2003 in accordance with the merit list prepared of all the eligible candidates for the various years. 3. Appointments to the said posts be made only on the basis of the merit list prepared by the U.P. Public Service Commission which would be tendered to the State Government within a period of 15 days from today. 4. Merit list as existing today shall be published by the U.P. Public Service Commission in the Public Service Commission office and copies thereof shall be tendered in this Court on or before 19-8-2003. 5. In case where the U.P. Public Service Commission has rejected the application of a candidate on the ground that he is ineligible, it would be open to him to file fresh representation to the Public Service Commission for reconsideration. 6. Aggrieved candidates may file their representations on or before 11-8-2003 and the candidates whose representations are accepted would be adjusted in the merit list. 2. List on 27-8-2003.
