JUDGMENT : 1. The matter has been settled between the parties on intervention of Mr. S. Muralidhar, Advocate, who was requested by this Court in terms of Order dated 26th April, 2004 to assist the parties as mediator. Learned counsel for the parties submit that on intervention of Mr. Muralidhar, the matter has been settled and joint application for recording settlement and for directions has been filed. As per settlement rupees ten lacs is payable by the husband to his wife in three instalments. First two instalments, it is admitted by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner-wife comprising of rupees six lacs have been paid, the balance sum of rupees of four lacs is payable by 31st December, 2004. However, learned counsel for the respondent-husband states that efforts will be made to make that payment in Court on the next date of hearing. In this view, we direct that the petition be listed on 6th December, 2004 for orders on the aforesaid application. 2. We place on record our appreciation for the assistance rendered by Mr. Muralidhar in acting as mediator and helping the parties to settle the matter.
