Judgment Govind Mathur, J.-This petition is preferred by the petitioner seeking a direction to release the amount pertaining to General Provident Fund and State Insurance with interest @ 18% p.a. 2. The wife of the petitioner was working as Supervisor in the office of Child Women Development Officer, Kotda, District Udaipur. The wife of the petitioner while in service died on 04.03.1993. The amount pertaining to State Insurance and G.P.F. was not released for a pretty long time, therefore, instant writ petition is preferred by the petitioner. 3. During pendency of the writ petition, the respondents have made the payment of amount pertaining to State Insurance on 20th May, 2004. However, no amount pertaining to G.P.F. has been paid by the respondents so far. 4. Reply to the writ petition has been filed on behalf of the respondents. In view of the submissions made by the respondents in their reply, it is apparent that the petitioner is entitled for G.P.F. also. The wife of the petitioner died while in service on 04th March, 1993, but no just and valid reasons appears to exist for not making the payment of provident fund to the petitioner. 5. Looking to the overall facts and circumstances of the case, it is ordered that the petitioner shall submit a certified copy of this order to the respondent No.2. The respondent No.2 immediately forward the copy of the order to the G.P.F. department alongwith other requisite document and by completing all required formalities. The G.P.F. department then release the amount concern at earliest. The petitioner shall also be entitled for interest @ 12% per annum. This entire process is required to be completed within a period of six weeks from today.
