JUDGMENT 1. - None appeared on behalf of the respondent despite service. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has been denied admission in the B.Ed course as per the PT.E.T.-2005.The ground of refusal is that the minimum percentage required is 40% whereas; the petitioner got 39.88%. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner placed reliance on the judgment rendered by this court in the case of Miss Parul Agarwal etc. v. University of Raj & Ors reported in RLR 2001(3) 462 wherein placing reliance on the judgment of this court in the case Ghanshyam Sharma v. The Principal St. Patricks Vidya Bhawan 2000(4) WLC (Raj)159 . this court held that those students who secured 60% or above marks were given provisional admission and the student who obtained 59.5% marks was given the benefit of round figure of 60%. 4. Since in the instant case the petitioner secured 39.88% marks in the PTET in view of the ratio decided by this court in the case of Miss Parul Agarwal and Ghanshyam Sharma (supras), the respondents are directed that the petitioner who obtained 39.88%be given benefit of round figure of 40% by raising the fraction to the next higher whole number. 5. Thus the petitioner is eligible for consideration in the B.Ed course and the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's case for admission in the PTET-2005 in case the petitioner stood in the merit. With these observations the writ petition stands disposed of.Writ petition disposed of as above. *******
