JUDGMENT : S.B. Sinha, J. This case involves protection of women who are involved in offences relating to Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. 2. Mr. Colin Gonsalves, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner-Society states that merely a sum of Rs. 500/- is allotted for each woman who stays in the protective homes. He submits that unless and until better living conditions are created in protective homes, the situation may not improve. Apart from the suggestions made by Mr. Gonsalves, we are of the opinion that some sort of monitoring of the activities of the protective homes may be necessary. In that view of the matter we direct National Legal Services Authority be impleaded as a party herein. We would request the learned Solicitor General to assist us in the matter. Mr. Gonsalves, shall handover a copy of this petition to the learned Solicitor General by tomorrow. 3. Adjourned by four weeks.
