Honble SHARMA, J.–This special appeal impugns the judgment dated January 8, 2002 of learned Single Judge in S.B. Civil Regular First Appeal No. 03101/99 whereby the appeal of appellant was ordered to be dismissed. (2). CPC (Amendment) Act 2002 which came into force with effect from July 1, 2002 has substituted a new section for the old Section 100A. The amendment seeks to bar:- (a) further appeal from an original decree or order (apart from appellate decree or order already barred) heard and decided by a Single Judge of a High Court; and (b) appeal from any writ, direction or order issued or made on an application under Article 226 or 227 of the Constitution by a Single Judge of a High Court. (3). In view of the mandatory provisions of Section 100 A. this appeal is not maintainable and stands dismissed summarily.
