Judgment :- M/s. Sri Jai Ganesh Marine Unit through its Proprietor has filed this writ petition questioning the notice dated 17.2.2005 of the Chief Mechanical Engineer, Chennai Port Trust, Rajaji Salai, Chennai-1 and seeks a direction to the same authority for restoration of power supply to the ice factory viz., M/s Jai Ganesh Marine Unit at No.64, Chennai Fishing Harbour, Chennai-13. 2. Mr.M.Jagadeesan, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents. 3. Heard Mr.P.R.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Jagadeesan for the respondents. 4. On going through the grievance expressed by the petitioner and recording the information that the petitioner unit is paying the current consumption charges without any default, the petitioner is permitted to pay the electricity charges payable upto December, 2004 in the month of October, 2005. In other words, the petitioner is granted time to pay the arrears till 30th September, 2005. It is also made clear that there cannot be any default in payment of current consumption charges, as agreed to by the petitioner. 5. In view of the above order, the respondents are directed to restore power supply to the petitioner unit forthwith. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, W.P.M.P.Nos.15931 & 15932 of 2005 are closed.
