Judgment 1. Heard. OFFENCE alleged is under sections 307/457/338 IPC and sections 25/27 of the Arms Act. The petitioner has been in custody for more than four months. Allegation is that he fired at his own cousin Binder Pal Kaur, who was suspected to be having illicit relations with Manjit Singh. It is stated that the petitioner cannot be kept in custody for indefinite period; trial will take time; investigation is over; the petitioner is not a previous convict and is not likely to abscond or misuse the concession of bail. Without expressing any opinion on merits, the petitioner is granted bail to the satisfaction of CJM/ Duty Magistrate, Bathinda. The petition is disposed of.
