Judgment :- (Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus as stated therein.) The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 25//2006 pending on the file of the respondent. 2. The petitioner is the owner of the land bearing Survey No.67/1 of No.31 Thazhambur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, in all measuring total extent of 3 acres and 16 cents. The petitioner had purchased the above stated agricultural land from one B. Dharsen Singh, S/o. Of Bishen Singh through his Power of Attorney Agent under four different Deeds of Sale dated 12/7/1995 and registered as Document Nos.1/1996, 2/1996, 3/1996 and 4/1996 respectively at S.R.O., Thiruporur. 3. It is further stated that when the Revenue Authorities inspected the property during the year 1963, the predecessors in title who was the owner at that point of time was not available for inspection and verification and hence they had declared the lands as "anatheenam lands" in the revenue records. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that, since he is the bonafide purchaser of the above stated land for valuable consideration dated 12/7/1995 under four registered sale deeds from B.Dharsen Singh, his position with regard to the property has to be declared by the Revenue Department. In such circumstances, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 25/5/2006 to the Settlement Officer the respondent herein for making suitable entries in the records and for receiving patta in his favour in respect of the lands measuring 3.16 acres, comprised in Survey No.67/1 of Thazhambur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. 5. Today when the above matter was taken up for consideration and upon hearing the learned counsel for both, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. The respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25/5/2006 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law. 6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
