ORDER : Arijit Pasayat, J. Certain applications for intervention have been filed. These will be considered at the next date of hearing. In the meantime, Mr. Gopal Subramanium, learned Additional Solicitor General will file his response to the I.As., if so required. During the course of hearing, it transpired that unconnected with the subject matter of the present dispute is the over growing problem of ragging. It was suggested that in the line done for the college elections, a Committee may be set up to look into the problems of ragging in the Educational Institutions and remedial measures which can be taken. The Committee may also be required to look into indisciplined behaviour in such institutions. The name of Mr. R.K.Raghvan, Ex-Director, C.B.I. was suggested to head the Commission. Mr. Gopal Subramanium, Learned ASG states that he shall obtain the view of the concerned Ministry about the composition of the Committee. Necessary information may be given before the next date of hearing. W.P.(Crl.) No. 173/2006: Perused the report submitted by the Director General of Police dated 30th October, 2006. The matter shall be listed along with SLP(C) No. 24295/2004. Further report indicating the latest position shall be filed by the concerned Director General of Police. The report filed be kept in a sealed cover. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, be filed in the meantime.
