Judgment :- (Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus as stated therein.) P. Sathasivam, J. On direction, learned Government Pleader takes notices for the respondents. 2. The petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition as a Public Interest Litigation, seeking direction to respondents 1 and 2 to take action against the persons those who have obtained Tsunami relief fund by producing bogus details, basing upon the complaint dated 10.10.2005 and reminder dated 16.01.2006, preferred by the petitioner. 3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that in spite of the representation dated 10.10.2005 and the reminder dated 16.01.2006, though the respondents have acknowledged both the representation as well as the reminder, no action was taken till this date. It is further stated that among the respondents, the first respondent, Collector, Nagapattinam District is the appropriate authority to consider the grievance expressed in those representations. 4. Taking note of the limited relief prayed for, the first respondent herein, viz., District Collector, Nagapattinam District, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 10.10.2005 and the reminder dated 16.01.2006 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
