M.Y.EQBAL

body2006
ORDER M.Y. Eqbal, J. 1. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 2. Petitioners seek a direction upon the respondents to regularize their services against the existing sanctioned and vacant posts in Rural Engineering Organization (in short R.E.O.) in the light of the circular dated 18.6.1993 issued by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. 3. It is contended by the petitioners that petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 have been working on daily wages since 1983 (22 years) and petitioner No. 3 is working as such since 1984 (21 years) and they are in continuous service since the date of their joining. 4. From perusal of the documents annexed with the writ petition it appears that since 1998 the authorities of the respondents have been recommending the, cases of these petitioners for regularization/absorption on the sanctioned vacant post on the ground that these petitioners have been working for the last 21-22 years. 5. In the above backgrounds I dispose to this writ petition with a direction to respondent No. 2, the Secretary, Rural Engineering Organization, Government of Jharkhand to consider the cases of the petitioners and if it is found that these petitioners have been working for the last 21-22 years, the appropriate decision may be taken for their regularization/absorption within a period of two months from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction/observation this writ petition stands disposed of.
