Judgment :- (This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 21.8.2006 submitted by the petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.930 dated 26.7.1977 personnel and Administrative Reforms Department.) Learned Government Advocate takes notice on the behalf of the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction against the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.8.2006 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.930 dated 26.7.1977 personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. 3. The case of the petitioner is that the counseling is posted before the second respondent on 31.8.2006 and he has made a representation to the effect that his wife is working as a Teacher in Ashok Nagar in Madras and therefore, he may be given protection as per G.O.Ms.No.930 dated 26.7.1977 personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer and without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.8.2006 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.930 dated 26.7.1977 personnel and Administrative Reforms Department and also the plea of the petitioner that his wife is working as a Teacher in Ashok Nagar in Madras and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and it is made clear that the plea of the petitioner has to be considered by the second respondent at the time of counseling, which is stated to be posted on 31.8.2006, on production of the copy of this order by the petitioner to the second respondent. 6. with the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.P.M.P.No.1 of 2006 is closed.
