Judgment Viney Mittal and j. JJ. 1. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to extend the no Objection Certificate issued or issue a fresh No Objection certificate for registration of vehicle at Chandigarh in the name of the petitioner. A further direction was sought against the respondents to register the vehicle belonging to the petitioner. 2. From the perusal of the record, we find that a legal notice dated April 18, 2006 (Annexure P.3) has been served by the petitioner which remains unresponded. Consequently, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Registering Authority, District Transport Officer, amritsar to take a final decision upon the legal notice within a period cwp NO.9894 of 2006 -2-of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed speaking order. A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
