Judgment 1. Vide order under challenge, Court below, while deciding an application under Sec.24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 has granted interim maintenance to the petitioner at the rate of Rs.500/- per month. Prayer in this revision petition is to enhance the same. 2. For enhancement of maintenance, reference has been made to the averments made by the respondent- husband in his application for divorce, wherein in para No.4 (a) of the petition, it has specifically been stated by the respondent that he was running a business of sanitary wares along with his brother. 3. This Court feels that in view of the above, amount awarded is on the lower side. Wife is also maintaining a minor school going child of 6 years of age. In view of high cost of living these days, justice will be done by ordering the respondent to pay an amount of Rs.2,000/- per month towards interim maintenance. Amount be paid from the date of application. 4. This revision petition stands disposed of. Trial Court below is directed to expedite the pending proceedings.
