Judgment :- (Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of habeas corpus to call for the records relating to the proceedings BDFGISV No.50/2005 dated 31.10.2005, on the file of 2nd respondent, quash the same, direct the respondents to produce the body of detenu P. Venkat, S/o. Palani, aged about 27 years, now detained at Central Prison, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.) P. Sathasivam, J. Learned Government Advocate informs this Court that, by Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.3059, Prohibition & Excise (XI) Department, dated 16.12.2005, the detention order passed against Venkat, the husband of the petitioner herein, has been revoked. He has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Accordingly, no adjudication is required in this matter. Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
