Judgment :- Prayer: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the detenu by name Balaji, son of the petitioner herein, who has been detained illegally by the fourth respondent herein before this Court and set him at liberty now detained in the custody of the fourth respondent herein illegally. P. Sathasivam, J. The petitioner by name S.K. Sekar has filed this petition for production of his son by name Balaji aged about 21 years, who has been detained illegally by the fourth respondent before this Court and set him at liberty. 2. Pursuant to the direction of this Court, the detenu by name Balaji appeared before us. We enquired him. According to him, he is 21 years old and his date of birth being 30.11.1984, he is a major. He further informed that on 10.3.2006 he married one S. Sudha, daughter of the fourth respondent at Madras. He has also informed us that after the marriage, the same was duly registered by the authority concerned. He has also produced the marriage certificate issued by the Joint Sub Registrar, Chennai Central. The marriage certificate shows that the detenu as well as his wife, the daughter of the fourth respondent are major. He has also informed this Court that at present, he is living with his wife. The above information shows that the detenu is not in illegal custody of any one, including the fourth respondent. 3. In the light of the information and of the fact that the detenu has married one Sudha and both of them being major, we are of the view that no further adjudication is required in this petition. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
