JUDGMENT S. B. ROY, C.J. : This appeal is directed against the judg¬ment dated 9.9.1988 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Bhanjanagar in I.C.C. No.37 of 1986 acquitting the respondents from the charges under Sections 447/426, IPC. The appeal is filed by the complainant being aggrieved by the judgment of acquittal passed by the learned trial Court. Admittedly the offences are of petty nature. Since the judg¬ment of acquittal was passed in 1988, about 18 years’ time has elapsed and it will be travesty of justice to interfere with the judgment of acquittal and to alter it into one of conviction at this belated stage. For this reason only, the appeal is dis¬missed. Appeal dismissed.
