Order Heard. 2. Initially, petitioners had prayed for quashing the order dated 21.6.1997, passed by respondent no. 3 (Annexure-5 and 5/a), by which the application of the petitioners for promotion from the post of Reader to the post of University Professor under 16/25 years Time Bound Promotion Scheme was rejected. 3. In view of subsequent events, a supplementary affidavit has been filed on behalf of petitioner no. 1 saying that the Screening Committee of University has recommended his case but no order has been passed on the same as yet. 4. Counsel for the respondents submitted that so far as petitioner no. 2 is concerned, his case has been rejected by the screening committee. 5. In such circumstances, as prayed by Mr. R. Krishna, this writ petition on behalf of petitioner no. 2 is permitted to be withdrawn with liberty to seek appropriate remedy available to him under the law. 6. So far as petitioner no. 1 is concerned, Mr. Piprawall produced a copy of the letter dated 29.4.2006 written by JPSC to the Director, Higher Education, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi and also a letter dated 13.6.2006 written to the University and submitted that after the required documents are sent by the Director and by the University, the orders may be passed on the claim of petitioner no. 1. On this, as prayed by Mr. R. Krishna, the Director, Higher Education, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi is permitted to add as respondent no. 5, in course of the day. 7. Mr. Rahman, JC to G.P. II accepts notice on behalf of newly added respondent no. 5. 8. In the circumstances, respondent nos. 1, 2 and 5 are directed to send required information or the documents to respondent no. 4-JPSC, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Respondent No. 4 in its turn shall pass orders in the matter in accordance with law, within two months from the date of receipt of required documents. 9. It goes without saying that if the respondents require any document from the petitioner no. 1, he will supply the same. 10. Let a copy of the order be handed over-to Mrs. I. Sen Choundary, S. Piprawall and Mr. Rahman. 11. With these observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
