REKHA SHARMA, J. ( 1 ) THE petitioner is a doctor and an Anesthetist. She is on deputation in Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital, Delhi, since June 12, 2002. Her deputation period was being extended from year to year and the same was lastly extended on October 3, 2006 from June 12, 2006 to June 11, 2007. Much before the expiry of her lastly extended deputation period, which was due on june 11, 2007, on November 20, 2006, a communication was addressed by the medical Superintendent of Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital to the Principal Secretary, health and Family Welfare Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, seeking further extension of her deputation for one year on the ground of shortage of anesthetists in the hospital. A similar communication was also addressed to her parent department. e. the Department of Public Health, Government of maharashtra, Mantralaya, Mumbai, asking for its no objection. It is stated that the No Objection from the Government of Maharashtra has since been received. ( 2 ) ALTHOUGH, the Government of NCT, Delhi, as well as Government of maharashtra have no objection in extending the period of deputation of the petitioner by another one year, it cannot take effect unless the Department of personnel and Training gives its formal approval for further extension. ( 3 ) THEREFORE, a letter was also written to the Joint Secretary to the Government of india, Department of Personnel and Training (Estt.), seeking its approval. The same is pending with it since March 12, 2007. In the meanwhile, the said department has asked the Government of NCT of Delhi to send 'two separate self contained proposals along with necessary documents before the matter is proceeded further'. It appears that the proposals as asked for have not been sent. ( 4 ) IN the above view of the matter, the Government of NCT, Delhi, is directed to send the proposals as asked for to the Department of Personnel and training within two weeks and on receipt of the same, the Department of personnel and Training shall take a decision on the question of extending the deputation period of the petitioner within one month. In the meanwhile, the petitioner shall remain on the strength of Government of NCT, Delhi, as a deputationist. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. Dast.
