ORDER : Pursuant to our order dated 16.3.2007 the trial court has examined one Surenderan alias Chidambaran son of Raghavan who sates that he has been signing the vouchers under the signature containing three letters "BLG". Before the trial court DW.1 produced a certificate from the Village Officer to show that he and Surenderan is the same person. That certificate was marked Exhibit P.3. However, Exhibit P.3 was not proved by examining the same Village Officer. 2. In our view the examination of the Village Officer was crucial to the facts of this case. According to DW.1 his real name was Shri Chidambaran alias Surenderan which fact could have been properly verified if the Village Officer was duly summoned. 3. In the circumstances we direct the trial court to examine the said Village Officer as the Court witness and return the finding to this Court within six weeks. Stand over for eight weeks.
