Judgment 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State as well as the learned counsel appearing for the Union of India. 2. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that for grant of Freedom Fighters Samman Pension, the petitioner, on receipt of a communication dated 10.04.2000 from the Government of India, as contained in Annexure 8, filed a fresh application for consideration on 30.08.2001, as contained in Annexure 10. It is submitted that the said application is still pending with the State Government and, as such, the matter could not be taken up by the Union of India. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner proposes to file a representation before the Joint Secretary, Incharge Freedom Fighters Division, Department of Home, Government of Bihar, Patna (respondent no. 3). 4. In that view of the matter, if such a representation is filed within a period of eight weeks alongwith the certified copy of the present order, respondent no. 3 shall consider the same and dispose it of in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months on receipt of such representation. 5. The writ application is disposed of with the above observations/directions.
