It appears that States of Assam, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Meghalaya, ;Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Goa and Madhya Pradesh have not filed affidavit in relation to making amendment in the Indian Penal Code. Six weeks' time is allowed to these States to file their response. 2. Let the matter come up on 26th February, 2008. 3. So far as the issues of recovery of rent are concerned, in our view, it is not necessary to decide the same; as such, we refrain from deciding those issues, as directed by our order dated 2nd August, 2007 and 19th September, 2007.
