Judgment 1. Heard Government Advocate No. 7 for the appellants, Mr. Y.V. Giri, learned senior counsel for the respondents. 2. By the order impugned a learned Single Judge of this Court while allowing the writ application, directed the authorities to grant scale of Rs. 8,000-13,500 to the writ petitioners. 3. We have gone through the impugned order. From the order impugned, it appears that the learned Single Judge of this Court found sufficient materials to give parity in scale to the petitioners at par with Group B of the Central Services employees, which was the recommendation of the 5th Central Pay Commissions Report and the Fitment Committee of the State of Bihar. 4. Learned Single Judge of this Court on basis of materials on records held that the writ-petitioners were entitled for the pay-scales of Rs. 8,000-13,500 at par with the other employees as recommended by the 5th Pay Revision Committee and the Fitment Committee. 5. Counsel appearing on behalf of the appellants, however, tried to impress upon the Court that the parity as granted by the learned Single Judge of this Court is not based on rational grounds. 6. Counsel for the respondents on the other hand submitted that the learned Single Judge of this Court on basis of materials on record found on reason to discriminate the petitioners from the payscales already recommended for similarly situated persons and, therefore, sufficient; materials were brought on record to maintain parity in the pay-scales of the writ petitioners. 7. Having heard counsel for the parties and appreciation of the facts on record, we do not find any merit in this appeal. 8. It is accordingly dismissed.
