Judgment :- Mr. A. Arumugam, the learned Additional Government Pleader (Tax), takes notice for the respondent. 2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3. It is submitted by the petitioner that he has made an application for the grant of mini bus permit on the route Attur Bus Stand to Gangavalli High School (via) Housing Board etc. The said application was taken up for consideration and the respondent, by its order, dated 4. 2005, had rejected the petitioners application, on the ground that the served sector is more than 4 kms, even though, before the disposal of the petitioners application, he had made a modification application by curtailing the route from Gangavalli High School to Gangavalli Samathuvapuram for plying the petitioners Mini bus between Attur Bus Stand to Gangavalli Samathuvapuram (via) Housing Board, T.K.S. Mill, Mariamman Koil, Bai Kadai, Maankuttai, Pungavadipudur colony. 4. Therefore, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Chennai. The said Tribunal, by its order, dated 16. 2006, made in Appeal No.310/05/A4, had set aside the order of the respondent and remitted the matter back to the respondent with a direction to consider and dispose of the petitioners application. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation, to the respondent, dated 112. 2006. Since the respondent had not passed any orders thereon till date, the present writ petition has been filed. 5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondent, the respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application, dated 2. 2004, in view of the representation, made by the petitioner, on 112. 2006, and as directed by the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, by its order, dated 16. 2006, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
