Judgment :- Mr. A. Arumugam, the learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. 2. With the consent of the learned counsels appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 22. 2007, (dealt with in R.No.A3/11524/2007) for the grant of contract carriage omni bus permit, within a specified period. 4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 22. 2007, (dealt with in R.No.A3/11524/2007) for the grant of contract carriage omni bus permit, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
