Judgment :- Mr.Arumugam, the learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. 2. With the consent of the learned counsels appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to receive the application of the petitioner, dated 20.08.2007, and forward the same to the second respondent for passing appropriate orders, on merits, within a specified period. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 5. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to receive the petitioners application, dated 20.08.2007, and forward the same to the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the second respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with Rule 53 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the said application. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
