Judgment :- Initially the petitioner had filed O.A.No.1628 of 1996, on the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal and the same has been transferred to this Court and renumbered as W.P.No.29639 of 2006. 2. At the stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents had placed before this Court a communication sent by the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Uthammapalayam, in Na.Ka.No.6418/1996, Pa.Tho., dated 28. 2007, wherein, it has been stated that the petitioner had, by his request, dated 8. 2007, had accepted the punishment awarded against him and that he had also requested the concerned authorities to grant him the increment due to the petitioner excluding the time during which the punishment was imposed. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has not refuted the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4. In such circumstances, the writ petition stands dismissed, as no further orders are required. No costs.
