Judgment :- On direction, Mrs.Dakshiyaini Reddy, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. 2. This writ petition is filed for direction against the first respondent, the Director of Teacher Education, Research and Training to approve the list of 8 students, admitted by the petitioner Institution on 31.07.2007 under the Lapsed Seats Category in the First Year D.T.Ed. Course for the academic year 2007-2008. 3. As per G.O.Ms.No.108 School Education (W) Department dated 17.05.2007, the last date for admission of the students in the Lapsed Seats Category is 31.07.2007. In the present case, as it is seen in the representation of the petitioner Institution dated 31.07.2007 that the petitioner stated to have admitted the 8 students under the lapsed category on 31.07.2007. Therefore, I do not think that there is any impediment on the respondent in approving the admission given to the said students by the petitioner institution. 4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents. 5. In the above said factual position, there is no difficulty in directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner institution for approval of admission in respect of 8 students stated to have admitted by it on 31.07.2007. Accordingly, the first respondent, the Director of Teacher Education, Research and Training, Chennai, is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner Institution for approval of the 8 students admitted by it under the Lapsed Seats Category on 31.07.2007 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
