Judgment :- On direction, Mr.N.Senthilkumar, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. 2. This writ petition is filed by the petitioner as party-in-person for direction forbearing the respondents from harassing and humiliating the petitioner and her family members under the guise of investigation and consequently to register a case based on the complaint dated 210. 2007. 3. According to the petitioner, she is the owner of the property at No.9/32-A, Opposite to Muslim Samaathi, Kothandapanipuram, Arakandanallur Post, Thirukoilur Taluk, Villupuram District and the same has been let out to one Suriya, Son of Govindaraj and his wife Vijayalakshmi, however, the said tenants have not been paying any rent to her and also they have engaged rowdy elements to threaten the petitioner and her family members thereby endangering their lives. In those circumstances, the petitioner has given a police complaint to the first respondent and since the first respondent has refused to receive the same, the petitioner has approached the Director General of Police, Chennai on 010. 2007, who in turn endorsed the complaint dated 010. 2007 and directed the respondents to register a case against the accused persons. The grievance of the petitioner is, in spite of the direction given by the Director General of Police, Chennai, the first respondent, Inspector of Police Arakandanallur Police Station, Thirukoilur Taluk has not registered the complaint. Hence, the petitioner apprehends danger to her life as well as to her family members, she has filed the present writ petition for appropriate directions to the respondents as stated above. 4. I heard the petitioner in person as well as Mr.N.Senthilkumar, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 5. Even though on the face of it appears to be a civil case, according to the petitioner, the tenants are threatening her and her family members of dire consequence with the aid of their henchmen and therefore, she has preferred a complaint. When such a complaint is preferred, it is the duty of the respondents to register the same and proceed in accordance with law. If the allegation made by the petitioner that the complaint given by the petitioner is not registered is true, certainly it is a grave situation. In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Director General of Police, Chennai to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 010.

If necessary, the concerned police official may also be directed to give protection to the petitioner and her family members in accordance with law. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
