Judgment :- This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for a writ of Declaration to declare Section 23-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (as amended by Tamil Nadu Amendment Act 16/97) as unconstitutional, illegal and void, in so far as the writ petitioner is concerned. 2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had pointed out that the impugned legislation, which is under challenge, in the present writ petition has already been struck down as unconstitutional, in a batch of writ petitions, by an order, dated 212. 2007, passed by a Division Bench of this Court, made in Rajasheriff Vs. The Government of Tamil nadu rep. by Secretary, Law Department, Fort St. George, Chennai-600 009 and another ( 2001(4) CTC 577 ). 3. In such circumstances, the present writ petition is dismissed as in fructuous, as no further orders are necessary. No costs.
