Narinder Pal Singh v. State Of Punjab

2007-03-17

JAGDISH SINGH KHEHAR, S.D.ANAND

body2007
Judgment J. S. Khehar, J. 1. The solitary controversy raise in the instant writ petition is, that while taking into consideration the petitioners marks for the B. Ed. qualification, the marks awarded to him for internal assessment were not taken into consideration. 2. Learned counsel for the respondents informs us, that a policy decision has now been taken to take into consideration the marks earned by candidates for internal assessment, during the course of their acquiring the B. Ed. qualification. It is further the contention of the learned counsel for the respondents that even if the internal assessment marks of the petitioner are taken into consideration, he does not fall within the zone of consideration and no candidate, having marks less than those awarded to the petitioner, has been selected for appointment against the post of maths teacher. 3. In view of the above, we find no merit in this petition and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.
