ORDER 1. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to correct the date of birth of the petitioner from 30-5-1982 to 2-6-1982. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that as there was mistake in the entries in the school records recording her date of birth, and as it was wrongly entered as 30-5-1982 instead of 2-6-1982, the petitioner applied to the Board of Examinations, Kerala State, requesting to correct the date of birth. The Joint Commissioner of Kerala Board of Examinations, Trivandrum, corrected the date of birth of the petitioner. However in the meantime, petitioner had taken admission for Nursing Course in the concerned college wherein the date of her birth was mentioned based on wrong entry made earlier. 3. Upon completion of the Degree course, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents along with the proceedings of the Joint Commissioner for Government Examinations, Trivandrum, requesting to issue the registration certificate incorporating the corrected date of birth. As the said representation has not been considered, petitioner is before this Court seeking the aforementioned direction. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced a copy of the order passed by this Court in W.P. No. 607/2007 disposed of on 27-2-2007, wherein a similar question was raised. This court after hearing both sides has accepted the contention of the petitioner as it was supported by the certificate issued by the competent authorities in the State of Kerala where the petitioner completed high school education. Based on the correction made in the date of birth by the competent authority in the State of Kerala, this Court has issued direction to the respondents to correct the date of birth of the petitioner in the said writ petition. 5. The facts involved and the question raised in this writ petition are similar to the one considered and disposed of a W.P. No. 607/2007. For the reasons stated in the said order, this petition also deserves to be allowed. Hence, I pass the following order. Writ petition is allowed. Respondents are directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner and correct the date of birth in accordance with the proceedings of the Joint Commissioner of Government Examinations, Trivandrum, dated 29-7-2003 vide Annexure-B and issue the necessary corrected certificate. 6. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of. 7. Order accordingly.
