JUDGMENT : Heard the parties. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that Rupa Devi, mother of the petitioner, was working on daily wages in the establishment of Block Development Office, Kanke and had worked for about 18 years but in spite of that, her services could not be regularized and ultimately she was disengaged and then just after one year of her disengagement, she died and, therefore, the petitioner, who is living in penury, filed an application before the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi for giving her employment. Pursuant to that, a report was sought for from the Block Development Officer, Kanke, who submitted his report, but no decision in this respect has been taken as a result of which, the petitioner is not getting employment. As against this, learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner does not have any right to be appointed, as her mother was never in regular service. Be that as it may, it appears that some enquiry relating to engagement/employment of the petitioner has been made at the instance of the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, but no decision in this respect was taken and, therefore, this case is disposed of with a direction to the District Establishment Deputy Collector, Ranchi (respondent no. 6) to take decision in the matter in accordance with law at the earliest. With this observation and direction, this application stands disposed of.
