JUDGMENT 1. 1. Heard Mr. B.L. Awasthi, learned counsel for the State and Mr. Reashm Bhargava, learned counsel for the respondent.By order impugned, the learned Single Judge of this Court had directed the appellant-authorities to pay interest on the delayed payment of retiral dues alongwith cost of Rs. 10,000/- to the writ petitioner. 2. According to the case of the appellants, the writ petitioner retired with effect from 31.10.2001 and he completed the formalities for grant of retiral benefits on 25.2.2002 whereas actual payment was made in the year 2005. 3. The learned Single Judge of this Court considering these aspects of the matter held that there was delay on the part of the State authorities in making the payment of the retiral dues and, therefore, directed the authorities to pay interest @ 10% per annum on account of delayed payment of retiral dues with cost of Rs. 10,000/-. 4. In view of the findings recorded by the learned Single Judge of this Court as referred to above, the order impugned does not appear to be either 5 bad in law or on facts nor it can be said to be arbitrary. This appeal is accordingly dismissed.Appeal dismissed. *******
