ORDER : B.N. Agrawal, J. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. Mr. Gopal Subramanium, learned Additional Solicitor General appearing on behalf of Union of India has, on instructions, made the following statement: "The Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal was constituted on 2nd April, 2004. Having regard to the reason that the Tribunal could effectively function only from 1st February, 2006, the effective date of the constitution of the said Tribunal may be treated as 1st February, 2006, in the facts of the present case." 3. In view of the aforesaid statement made on behalf of the Union of India and keeping in view the facts of the case, it is directed that effective date of the constitution of the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal under Section 3 of the Inter-State River Water Disputes Act, 1956, would be 1st February, 2006. 4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
