JUDGMENT It appears that the petitioner as well as the respondent No.5 were seeking to get licence in respect of a Fair Price Shop. 2. Pursuant to the resolution passed by the Gram Panchayat in its meeting on 25-8-2008, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shikohabad, by the order dated 2-9-2008 granted licence in favour of respondent No. 5. 3. Feeling aggrieved by the said order dated 2-9-2008, the petitioner filed a representation dated 4-9-2008 before the District Magistrate, Firozabad, copy whereof has been filed as Annexure 5 to the Writ Petition. 4. As no action has been taken on the representation of the petitioner, he has filed the present Writ Petition. 5. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Nos. 1 to 4, and perused the record. 6. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, we are of the opinion that the interest of justice would be subserved by disposing of the Writ Petition giving the following directions : 7. The petitioner may file a certified copy of this order along-with a copy of the representation dated 4-9-2008 before the District Magistrate, Firozabad , within a period of three weeks from today. 8. The District Magistrate, Firozabad will decide the representation of the petitioner after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the respondent No. 5 expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of filing of the certified copy of this order alongwith copy of the representation before him. 9. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions.
