Judgment :- The petitioner is admittedly a contract employee who had worked two years. In the present writ petition, she is asking for a direction to provide continuous employment as a Technical Testing Operator. The writ petition was admitted on 112. 1997. 2. In paragraph No.3 of the affidavit, there is a reference to the report of Justice Khalid Committee relating to absorption of contract labour in regular employment and the said report, which was accepted by the Supreme Court and subsequently clarified, will apply only to those workmen who are specifically mentioned in the report itself. It is not the case of the petitioner that her name finds a place in the report. 3. The other submission that Regulation 94(a) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulation is violated in not employing the petitioner cannot be accepted, as she is only a contract employee and not a regular employee of the Board. The writ petition in misconceived and devoid of merits. Accordingly, the same is dismissed. No costs.
