JUDGMENT Rajesh Bindal, J.-This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 290 dated 4.12.2005 under Sections 420, 406, 506, 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Sarai Khawaja, District Faridabad. 2. The dispute in the present petition is regarding some money transaction between the parties. During the pendency of present petition, the dispute has been settled between the parties by way of Memorandum of Understanding, which has been placed on record as Annexure A-1 vide Criminal Misc. No. 101055 of 2007. The affidavits of Vijay Krishan Mehta, complainant and Smt. Beena Advani, on behalf of all the accused have also been placed on record in support of the Memorandum of Understanding. 3. Reliance has been placed on Kulwinder Singh v. State of Punjab 2007 (3) Law Herald 2225 (P&H). 4. As the parties have already settled the dispute in view of the terms mentioned in the Memorandum of Understanding, no useful purpose will be served in proceeding with the prosecution, accordingly, the present FIR and all proceedings consequent thereto are quashed.
