Judgment :- The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the Division Bench of this Court had passed an order, dated 15.06.2006, in W.A.Nos.3292, 3293, 3424 and 3544 of 2002 and a batch of writ petitions, wherein it has been held that the respondents are permitted to collect Rs.1.50/-per Sq.ft., as rent, for single person quarters, both in the City and in the Moffusil areas. 2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the order of the Division Bench, dated 15.06.2006, has become final and that the monthly rent would be collected from the petitioners, only at the rate of Rs.1.50 per Sq.ft., instead of Rs.3.00 per Sq. ft., from 1. 2004 onwards, based on the letter, dated 20.10.2008, issued by the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Chennai. 3. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioners, as well as the respondents this court is of the view that no further orders are required to be passed in the present Writ Petition. 4. Hence, the Writ Petition stands closed.
