Judgment :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Certiorari, to call for the records relating to the proceedings in Permanent B.P.(F.B.) No.167, dated 110. 2000, in respect of enhancement and the demand of additional current consumption deposit, and to quash the same. 3. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that a Division Bench of this Court, by its order, dated 18. 2007, made in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.No.15469 of 2007 (batch), had dismissed the writ petitions challenging the enhancement, and the demanding of additional current deposit by the Tamilnadu Electricity Board and that it has become final. However, in the said order, dated 18. 2007, this Court had permitted the petitioners therein to make the deposit in seven equal monthly instalments. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had not refuted the statements made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. 5. Hence, the present writ petition stands dismissed in view of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court, dated 18. 2007, in the batch of writ petitions cited supra. However, the petitioner is permitted to comply with the impugned proceedings, dated 110. 2000, issued by the second respondent by making the deposit in seven equal monthly instalments, commencing from 12. 2008. The subsequent instalments shall be paid by the petitioner, on or before the first of every succeeding month, till the entire amount is deposited. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
