Judgment :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus to forbear the respondents from interfering with the petitioners peaceful possession and enjoyment of the lands comprised in S.No.8/1-A bearing Municipal Door No.80 (Old No.4), MTH Road, Padi, Chennai, except in accordance with the procedures contemplated under the provisions of the Tamilnadu Land Encroachment Act or the Tamilnadu Land Acquisition Act. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that if the petitioner is found to be an encroacher and is in illegal occupation of the land in question, necessary procedures would be followed, as provided under law, before evicting the petitioner from the lands in question. 4. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, the writ petition stands closed, as no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.4692 of 2003 is closed.
