Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 2. Though the prayer is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.08.2008, is directed to be disposed of by the second respondent on merits, within a specified period. 3. Mrs. Dhakshyayani, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents had submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.08.2008, would be considered on merits and in accordance with law and in view of the circulars applicable to the matter, if the representation had been received by the second respondent, on or before 11.08.2008. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.08.2008, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if it had been received by the second respondent, on or before 11.08.2008. 5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
